How about that rain!!! So far, 1.95" has been recorded at Lady Bird Park. We've heard reports of more and less around town. How much has your rain gauge collected?
What a nice rain! Unfortunately, lightning caused a power outage on the northwest side of town. Crews addressed the issues, and everyone should be back in service. If your power has not been restored, please contact (830)997-7521 to have the Electric Department troubleshoot the problem.
Have you seen the agenda for tonight's City Council Meeting??? The agenda for tonight's City Council Meeting includes several items. These are a public hearing to amend the existing Baron's Creek Planned Unit Development to add another building and obtain a Conditional Use Permit to allow a drive-thru associated with a drive-in/fast food facility (Starbucks), as well as considering a resolution authorizing the transfer of funds to the 175th Anniversary Celebration, a resolution for landmark properties at 502 East Main and 612 South Washington, the annual sidewalk program additional work authorization. Also to be considered are HOT funding for the 175th Anniversary Celebration, the Attainable Housing Demand Study, Approval of the revised Golf Course budget, Fort Martin Scott Trail Designation, Property Management of the University Center, Resolution approving the agreement related to Conference Center Operations and Conference Center Marketing. STREET CLOSURE: 100 BLOCK SOUTH ORANGE Due to utility construction, the 100 block of South Orange Street (from San Antonio Street to Main Street) will be closed to thru traffic today, from now to noon. The intersections of San Antonio / Orange and Main / Orange will remain open. This project is scheduled to be a one day closure, weather permitting. We apologize for any inconvenience and greatly appreciate your cooperation during this construction.
City Offices will be OPEN on Presidents' Day... The City of Fredericksburg would like to wish our citizens and visitors a very happy Presidents' Day! All City Offices will be OPEN on Presidents' Day, Monday, February 19th. All City services will be running as well.

American Red Cross lifeguard certification course offered by the City of Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation Dept. Course cost is $275. Cost is waived with a one season commitment to work for the City of Fredericksburg. Must be at least 15 years old.
